Brittany R. Collins is a Contributing Editor at Edutopia, the author of Learning from Loss: A Trauma-Informed Approach to Supporting Grieving Students, and founder of Grief-Responsive Teaching. She has published more than 50 articles in such outlets as The Washington Post, Education Week, EdutopiaThe Hechinger Report, Harvard Graduate School of Education’s “Usable Knowledge,” Inside Higher Ed, We Need Diverse Books, and English Journal of NCTE.

Brittany has created educational programming for students and teachers of all ages through Harvard’s Graduate School of Education, Columbia University, PBS Learning Media, New York University, Smith College, Boston University, Race Project Kansas City, and School Crisis Recovery & Renewal, among other schools and organizations. She is the Senior Program Manager of the Educator Experience at Write the World, Inc.
